“Sawubona” means‚ I see you‚ and the response ‚”Ngikhona‚” means “I am here”.
Originally from South Africa and now living and working in Ladysmith, BC. I grew up in South Africa and spent 15 years traveling around the world on various adventures in remote areas. I spent a lot of time working with folks teaching them outdoor leadership, with a special talent for working with youth at risk and young offenders. The move to Ladysmith was a 180 degree change in direction.
Photography has always been a passion that had threaded its way through my life. Now I have the opportunity to follow photography on a professional level. Ladysmith is a great place to take photos.
The essence of photography is capturing a moment in time. Photos record history in real time and often create the only record we have of our work and our life. I am fortunate enough to be working with some really talented people and taking photos for them.
